This study examines the political, social and economic contributions of Sivas deputies of the First
Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) during the War of Independence. The social and professional
profiles of the Sivas MPs show that they were individuals who gained the trust of the
public with their experience from the Ottoman bureaucracy as well as their social leadership qualities.
These deputies, who took a nationalist stance in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey
(TGNA) by defending the ideals of national sovere-ignty and independence, not only provided
military and logistical support but also estab-lished a strong bond between the society and the
parliament by bringing the demands of the people to the parliament. Taking advantage of the strategic
location of Sivas, they pro-vided material and supply support to the front and made various
attempts to encourage the public to the national struggle. With these aspects, Sivas deputies contributed
to the pre-servation of the political integrity of the parliament and the strengthening of
national soli-darity in the struggle for independence; they assumed important roles in shaping the
basic principles of the Republic of Turkey. This research emphasizes the historical importance of
the functions of Sivas deputies during the national struggle period by revealing their social and
political effects.

In the success of the National Struggle and the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, the
efforts of the soldiers fighting on the front lines were as effective as the struggle behind the
front lines. Following the Armistice of Mondros, harmful minority activities intensified in
Amasya and its surroundings, as in many parts of Anatolia. In order to eliminate these activities,
the clergy in the region declared their commitment to the National Struggle and caused the public's
perspective on the National Struggle to change. Success came in this environment of unity andsolidarity. Knowing the relationships between the clergy of Amasya and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
during the National Struggle will be important in correcting the mistakes we know as right and
eliminating the prejudice against the clergy. This study will examine the contributions of religious
figures in Amasya and its surroundings to the National Struggle during the War of Independence

Ahkâm Registers, starting from the 17th century, hold great significance in terms of local historical
studies and are among the important archival documents. Issues such as public complaints, decisions
sent by the central authority, the conditions of Muslim and non-Muslim populations, and
even the roles of women in social life are recorded in these registers. Therefore, the examination
of the Ahkâm Registers provides valuable insights into the military and administrative situation of
the period, as well as its social structure and public order. This study focuses on the Ünye district,
based on data obtained from the Trabzon Ahkâm Registers. Ünye is situated on a strategic route
that connects Central Anatolia to the Black Sea and also links Black Sea cities. The strategic importance
of the region was recognized by the Turks after Bayram Bey conquered Ordu and its
surroundings in 1313. By 1428, the region had come under Ottoman rule. Ünye, known as a port
city, also held a significant position within the Central Black Sea Region. In this study, the decrees
concerning the Ünye District found in the Trabzon Ahkâm Registers have been examined; and an
attempt was made to provide information on the social life of the district’s population within a
specified time period.

Flowers, which grow seasonally, are among the important biological and cultural riches nature offers
humanity. Historical sources reveal that early humans utilized the flowers of various plants. In
Turkish cuisine, flowers have been used in raw, cooked, or dried forms for centuries. The primary
objective of this study is to revive acacia flower pan, a traditional dish known in the past but now
fading into obscurity in the Ulubey district of Ordu province, where the natural vegetation is largely
forested and acacia trees are widespread, within the framework of responsible gastronomy principles.
Furthermore, the aim is to highlight the gastronomic potential of this edible flower and increase
its marketability as a commercial product. The study also aims to contribute to the national
literature and stakeholders in the field of gastronomy. Interviews, a qualitative data collection technique,
were used in the research. Based on the literature review, the researcher developed a semistructured
interview form with open-ended questions, and interviews were conducted with three
participants knowledgeable about the topic, living in different neighborhoods in the Ulubey district.
Recording this traditional dish is crucial for the sustainability of local culinary culture.

This article analyzes the role and significance of the Bactrian documents found in Northern
Af-ghanistan as a historical source for the study of the history of Turan in the early medieval
peri-od. The article also examines the history of the discovery and study of these documents.
From a critical point of view, it analyzes the erroneous approach in national historiography, which
con-sists in the incorrect generalization of these documents under the name Rabatake Archive and
their attribution exclusively to the Kushan period. Furthermore, based on an analysis of the external
(duplicate copies, seals) and internal (introduction, main part, conclusion) structure of the documents,
the article substantiates the existence of a developed legal system in the region. Through
the analysis of information contained in the documents regarding purchase and sale, debt obligations,
rent, taxes, slavery, and family relations, the socio-economic picture of Turan in the 4th–8th
centuries is illuminated. The significant scholarly novelty of the article lies in the fact that, based
on an analysis of Turkic titles (kagan, yabgu, tarkhan, tudun) and ethnonyms (Abdalo) found in thedocuments, the role and influence of the Turkic peoples in the statehood of Turan during the early
medieval era are proven with direct evidence.
